4 Great San Diego Hiking Trails
There are plenty of great opportunities to throw on your hiking boots and hit the trail for some time in the great outdoors.
1) Check out Torrey Pines State Preserve to enjoy some fresh air as you hike some of the best views of the Pacific. There’s several trails of different difficulty levels. You’re sure to find one you’ll love.
2) Climb to the top of Mount Woodson to get a spectacular view at Potato Chip Rock. It’s nine miles of intense hiking sure to challenge even experienced hikers. Even if you don’t make it to the top on your first try, you’ll enjoy your time on Woodson Mountain.
3) Hike Cedar Creek Falls to swim in the Devil’s Punchbowl. It’s a hard hike to the falls, but the swimming is worth it. Be warned: people have been killed jumping from the seventy-five-foot cliffs into the water. Be safe and just don’t do it.
4) For some intermediate hiking, try Iron Mountain Trail. It’s almost six miles of great views on relatively flat ground. It’s a popular weekend spot for folks just looking to get into nature.
These are just a fraction of the great hiking opportunities in San Diego. You’re sure to find some trails you’ll love.
