Old Town San Diego Real Estate Spotlight

In this Old Town San Diego Real Estate Spotlight, we’ll cover everything you need to know…

One of the oldest settled areas in California is Old Town, San Diego- a historic neighborhood nestled beyond Mission Hills and Bankers Hill.

This nearly-250 acre area of San Diego is the location of the very first settlement of Europeans in California. Filled with great historical significance, Old Town is the site of Old Town San Diego State Historic Park as well as Presidio Park. Both of these park communities are on the National Register of Historic Places.

After the turn of the 20th century, the area became more connected to other San Diego neighborhoods with the advent of streetcars as well as the San Diego public transportation system.

Old Town is a popular place for residents and visitors with its many hotels, eateries and specialty boutiques. Also in the area are opportunities for sight-seeing at some of the numerous art galleries, historical sites, and significant landmarks.

Top Things To Do in Old Town

Each year, San Diego residents gather in Old Town for a large array of Cinco de Mayo festivities. Fall is another popular time in Old Town, with the Art Festival in October and the Day of the Dead in November.
