Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas – This cinema is the epitome of class! The seats are very comfortable and spacious. It’s even comfortable to sit in the second row because of the reclining seats! The screens are large and the sound is good. It’s easy to order from your seat, the servers circulate regularly to ensure everyone’s needs are met. Each chair also equipped with a “call button” to request a server when you are ready to order. There is also a full menu with food and drink with TONS of different options to choose from- crepes, pasta primavera, paninis, nachos, pitas, spicy lobster rolls, sliders, salads, even desserts like the lava cake with ice cream. Their beverage menu includes iced coffees, lattes, mochas, cappuccino, Americanos, Bloody Mary’s, mimosas, mojitos, Cosmos, a long beer and wine list- there is something for everyone!
Club Pilates Del Mar – This is a wonderful Pilates studio. The trainers are knowledgeable & professional yet sensitive to each clients’ needs. The ambiance of the studio is professional yet fun! The studio is incredibly clean and doesn’t have a crowded feeling to it. The reformers and other types of equipment are positioned nicely apart. Spots are limited and reservations are required, so it gives clients accountability. This also gives every class that small group feeling, but also very individualized.
San Diego County Fair – Before coming to the craziness that is the San Diego County Fair, make sure you look up what events are going on throughout the fair season! You can catch some great concerts and daily shows. There are paid concerts, as well as shows in open areas that are free with admission. Play the games, ride the rides, eat some great food (deep fried or not), pet some goats, and catch a concert or show.
Torrey Pines – Just a short drive from Carmel Valley you can find beachside hiking trails with striking views. This hike is a great one for beginners with amazing views and a variety of lookouts to choose from along the way. Torrey Pines is a great place to take your kids or catch up with friends while taking in the beautiful ocean views. This hike is a gorgeous, quiet, and safe environment for all ages. Pappalecco – An enthusiastic “Ciao Bello(a)!” from staff greets you as you enter the door. This little gelato shop & patisserie is a hidden gem. We recommend trying the Chocolate & Amaretto cookie, Nutella, and Limon Vagnila Torte. The gelato varies (like all gelato should) in it’s complexity, flavor, texture, and sweetness. It’s a fun stop for traditional, authentic gelato.
