We wanted to post a quick compliance update: Recently, the DRE has been increasing enforcement regarding “agent branding”, so now is a good time to review and update your marketing materials to make sure you’re set up for compliance success. Taking a few minutes now to update your materials will keep you in good standing and avoid any potential issues down the road.
Things To Review:
Broker Name on Advertising and Social Media
Your marketing must reflect “Big Block LPT Realty” “Big Block, Powered By LPT Realty”, “Big Block, a DBA of LPT Realty” or any other variation, OR simply “LPT Realty”. For compliance purposes, the name “Big Block” should not be used on its own.
License Number Requirement
Your DRE License Number must be displayed on all branding, including websites, social media, and marketing materials.
Branding Updates
- Replace any old Big Block logos with the most current version (link to the logos here)
- Ensure you’re using registered DBAs & Branch Offices (Address info here)
- Double-check your office address to make sure it’s up to date
Social Media Compliance
- Your Broker & License Number should be added to the intro/bio section of your Facebook and Instagram profiles
- All real estate related posts should include these disclosures
Website Compliance
- Your website and landing page must display the Broker logo
- Your name & license number must be included
Team Branding Reminder
- If you’re branding as a “Team,” you must have at least one active LPT agent as part of your group.
